Los Angeles experienced citywide festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with local residents in celebration, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.

Celebration Parade Draws Enormous Turnout

Los Angeles area celebrations included a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.

Social media videos show countless of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.

“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an interpreter.

The parade route ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Pre-Parade Festivities and Player Reactions

Festivities started prior to the procession, with supporters lighting flares in the streets of the city center on Sunday night.

The World Series MVP, awarded the MVP of the championship, spoke plainly about the victory.

“We refuse to lose,” Yamamoto said. “I adore this team. This city means everything to me.”

Varied Responses and Community Spirit

However, Mark Walter received a less warm welcome at the rally. Recordings from the event seem to depict Walter taking the stage to a mix of cheers and boos, with jeers interrupting his speech.

The World Series acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.

“It seems it’s almost double from last year,” he said. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
