Plane Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the jet's front window, as stated by an announcement which confirmed that the secretary was unharmed.

"The jet touched down in accordance with established safety measures and everyone onboard, including Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer commented in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the city of Brussels at the time.

This incident is not the first time that a United States armed forces jet transporting a senior official has suffered equipment failures.

Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to turn back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
